Rafael Leao opened the scoring for the hosts following a shot from Bernardo Silva that struck the post. Manchester City midfielder Nunes then dribbled past multiple defenders before slotting the ball into the net.
Manchester United captain Fernandes added a goal from close range, and Bruma contributed a fourth goal. Sporting Lisbon’s top scorer, Viktor Gyokeres, pulled one back for the opposing team.
Goncalo Ramos extended Portugal’s lead to 5-1, with Gustaf Nilsson scoring a consolation goal for Sweden.
Portugal opted to rest top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo and several other key players for this match.
